A rabbi and a church pastor walk into a bar — Harry’s Seafood, Bar & Grille in Ocala, to be exact.
The rabbi is Rabbi Ze’ev Harari of the Temple Beth Shalom. The pastor is the Rev. Dr. Harold W. McSwain of the First Congregational United Church of Christ. The punchline is not a punchline at all, but the birth of an idea for the two religious organizations to come together under one roof as the Ocala Tree of Life Sanctuary — a vision that now has come to fruition.
